For instance, a person could change his phone wallpaper to trigger a memory of a certain place or putting a photo that reminds him of his favourite hobby. These little triggers can build up over the course of a day and make a big difference.
Doing something good for someone: Taking charge and creating a positive moment for someone else can make a person feel positive. A person will likely find doing nice things for others, which can lift his spirits and be as fulfilling as having someone doing something for him.
Focusing on present moment: Trying to remove worry about past and future moments and focus on what one can control right now in present, makes a person feel positive. If someone focus on his present situation and what is affecting him right here, he might realize how unimportant some of the things he may have been worrying about are.
Surrounding oneself with positive people: Seeking out to people who supports you and lifts you up and then doing the same for them. More a person hear positive things from those around him, the more likely he is to have his ways of thinking impacted.
